## Description

Product Description TNC MycorrPlus A premium mycorrhizal inoculant - ideal for indoor, outdoor or greenhouse cultivation. Quick Check ✔ Endo ✔ Ecto ✔ Trichoderma ✔ Bacteria ✔ Powder ✔ Humate ✔ Amino-acids ✔ Natural growth promoters ✖ GMOs Premium mycorrhizal inoculant powder TNC MycorrPlus is a premium product in our range of mycorrhizal inoculants – ideal for indoor, outdoor or greenhouse cultivation. TNC MycorrPlus is is perfect for valuable or prized plants where optimum quality, growth and yield are required. Also... These include amino-acids, plant hormones – cytokinins, auxins and giberellins – also vitamins and trace elements. The mycorrhizae and microorganisms will quickly populate and colonise the plants root zone in a symbiotic relationship, an essential part of the soil food web, transporting valuable minerals such as Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium and Trace elements back to the host plant. Review: Good quality product - This brand seems to be more effective than the Empathy one, and in my opinion, has a better (finer) consistency. The Empathy comes as grey granules and when re-potting plants treated with that one, even a year later, the grey granules would still sit around the roots, and didn't look to have done anything much. It is always hard to judge the effectiveness of such things, as so many other factors can impact. So far, I've used this (and the other one) mainly for potted plants, which is not the most effective use, anyway - this is more effective for plants in open ground, according to my understanding, although can be beneficial for potted plants. Anyway, this is a finer powder, seemingly based on seaweed extract, and adheres far better to exposed roots than the granules of the other brand. Generally speaking, I think this company makes high quality products. This year, I used this, plus the BactorS13 and TricorP5 from this company for my hanging baskets, covering the root balls on transplanting with this, adding the Tricor powder to the compost mix and watering with bactor solution after filling the baskets and I've seen a definite improvement this year. My baskets never tend to look as good as others I see, which is probably down to insufficient care, and these products seem to make the plants far better able to deal with some neglect. The main issue is not watering frequently enough, and despite having been less consistent than in previous years, my baskets look better, with more flowers and quicker growth. I also noticed they took less time to start flowering this year. Otherwise, I've changed nothing (although it has rained far more this year, but only in last month, and the improvement was noticeable even during a very dry spell earlier this year), so I think these products have contributed to better looking and therefore more healthy plants. This is somewhat more expensive than the Empathy brand (quite a bit more, if you buy the smaller quantity, this 600 g packet works out cheaper than 300 g, but is still more expensive than Empathy), but as neither brand is cheap, I'd rather pay a bit more and have a product that actually seems to make a difference. You only have to do it once, at planting, so even the 300 g packet will last quite a while, depending on how much you plant and the size of the plants (it works out cheaper to treat plants earlier on, when the root ball is still small). The company has a website, which provides some further info, although all you need to know is on the packet. I don't mix this with compost, I cover the root ball and add some powder to the planting hole - it has to be in contact with the roots to work, so I would pretty much ignore the first instructions for amount per volume of compost, as you'll waste most of it that way. I try to uncover some roots if none are already exposed around the edge of the root ball, moisten the roots/rootball, and cover with the powder, using 1 - 2 teaspoons for small - medium plants, saving a bit of that amount to put in the planting hole. If you wish to treat an established plant, you can add some small plants around the base, which you treat with this when planting, it will then spread to the roots of the established plant in time. If using this method, it will take some time, so don't expect to see instant results. Even when using at first planting, I imagine it takes some time to establish itself around the roots, so it's not an instant magic cure-all, but does seem to make plants more resilient and faster growing. Previously, was not convinced about the effectiveness of mycorrhizal fungi, but since using it with my baskets this year, now believe this does make a difference - although it's hard to know how much this product alone contributed.. If you want to try mycorrhizal fungi, would recommend this brand, though..
Review: big hopes for this product - Recently started using this and hoping it works well. I have not noticed any difference as yet due to just starting to use it but can update at a later time. At the time of using all my plants are in great health and have not noticed any decline in plant health.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much is in the bag?**
A: The question is a little unclear. 75g, 300g, 600g, and 1.2kg are available to select.

**Q: Can you dissolve this in water for container plants which do not seem to be growing well?**
A: It's basically a natural product so it won't dissolve but you can mix it with water and use as a delivery system if you wish.
Just bear in mind that mycorrhizae must touch the plant roots at some point to work, so if the substrate filters it out, it won't be effective.
Consider injecting it down with a cheap syringe - or dib holes through to the roots etc.

Hope this helps
Nigel :o)

**Q: is this good for a baretoot HS Apple tree?**
A: Emphatically yes, brill with any bare roots you can also buy a gel stuff to soak your precious bare root ball overnight in I suggest you do my raspberries grew twice as fast this year than ever before

**Q: How much do I need to plant 50 bareroot laurels please?**
A: I would imagine 1 - 2 teaspoons per plant (5 - 10 grams).
You can use any extra in the planting holes.
