Yes, I have no doubt that it's probably a cheaper copper alloy of the type you find in DIY stores, so you wouldn't want to use it in a central heating system without corrosion inhibitor, but use it properly and you'll be fine. I found it easy to work with: it can be bent by hand, but I prefer to use an external spring pipe bender since it allows me to get neater (i.e. tighter) bends without kinking. It cuts easily and I had no problems dimensionally either: 8mm olives fitted well and the fitting made a good seal. Obviously with thin pipe you have to be careful not to overtighten. Do it up just beyond finger tight then inspect the joint once the water's back on, nip it up a quarter turn if it drips. Review: Made a great wort chiller... - Solid copper wire. Made of copper. Pliable, and did not break. Used the 10 meters to make a wort chiller. I should probably have bought 10mm for that task, but I am an amature with pipes/metal, etc... Resulting wort chiller cooled 5 gallons in about 15-20 minutes despite inexperience of purchaser.
