I once stopped biting them for about six months but only because they were in artificial nails always. But there’s never been a time where I’ve had them exposed and not bitten. It’s been a real battle. My nails have therefore always looked bitten, unhealthy, malnourished and quite disgusting. I could only go on dates if I had fake nails. Playing pool, typing, holding a microphone or even gesturing became quite embarrassing with these nasty nails. I always felt embarrassed and disappointed in my self. I decided to try a bitter tasting polish as a fix. Best decision ever! Review: THIS IS A MUST WORKED FROM DAY ONE FOR BOTH MY 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD. - Its been almost 3 weeks now and from the first time i put this on my children i have made them aware of what it's is,what it does, and why I am doing this to them. **Q: does it wash off when i wash my hands?**
A: Short Answer: YesLong answer: Its very tough, using an old bar soap isn't really going to cut it, I used washing up liquid (good quality one that's green if you catch my drift) did the job but only after 2 - 3 goes,It's very strong stuff - which is what you want to stop biting! - even after getting out the swimming pool you can still taste that terrible bitter taste if you feel the temptation,Some people use nail varnish but that washes off far too easily,I work in an office environment so I have no issue, but you couldn't use this product if you worked in food preparation because it's just too strong (or you could prepare food with gloves on)I would compare this product to an extreme chilli pepper on your fingers/thumb - tread very carefully - but at the end of the day it does exactly what is says on the tin - trust me it will stop  the biting - your brain will very quickly register `I don't like that, I'm not doing that again'.Any other questions let me know

**Q: can I use it on my two and a half year old**
A: Yes you can I used on my 1year old and he hasn't sucked it since then it took him under 3 weeks but you have to be prepared watching ur child crying because something like fingers has been taken away..be consistent otherwise there's no point..works!

**Q: Odd question I'm an adult but have the awful habit. Will this be suitable ?**
A: Of course. I bought this once only. However if your saliva even comes in contact - it tastes disguisting! This includes brushing your teeth. Personally, I bought sally Hanson miracle grow nails which will grow your nails but if you don't have the will power use this and trust me you will stop. Take care.

**Q: Can you apply it on top of nail polish?**
A: When I did it it took the nail varnish off like nail varnish remover. Don't recommend.

My baby is 17 months old, and this worked in just one day. She started sucking her thumb around 3 months old and never took a pacifier. Since then, she always sucked her thumb in the car seat and while sleeping. I honestly found it hard to look at, but I planned to address it closer to age two, when she might better understand. Recently, she started sucking much more aggressively. The skin on her thumb became raw, cracked, and scabbed over, and it clearly looked painful. It also wasn’t healing even after a long time. I knew she was still very young, but at that point I decided to try this product. I do want to mention that the taste is extremely bitter. The first time she put her thumb in her mouth, she immediately stuck her tongue out, smacked her lips, and clearly hated the taste. She kept making faces and licking her lips in confusion — but that bitterness is exactly what made this work. The result was a complete success. She stopped sucking her thumb after just one day. The first night, she tossed a little in her sleep but didn’t cry and slept through the night. I plan to continue applying it for another 1–2 weeks just to be safe. I’m incredibly grateful for this product — the bitterness may be unpleasant, but it is truly effective.
