The glaze and all finishes are first rate. I like the slightly wider coves and generous proportions. The handles are why I bought this item. It's really hard to find a stoneware casserole with these loop handles for reasonable money. This one clicks all the boxes for high value design and quality. It does shed lasagna very well, so cleaning is easy. I bought a 5" tall insulated dish carrier that worked perfectly with this to keep food hot for 3 hours during the Thanksgiving trip. I plan to make some stoneware pieces using this as a model if I can keep it empty long enough to use. This is a new brand for me. I like that the bottom is a bit on the heavy side and it retains and distributes heat well. I use this 1X a week minimum--mostly to make enchiladas. I have used it 3 times so far and it has cooked the enchiladas very evenly. Nice, deep dish for ladling in sauces along with your pasta or other dishes. I also like the handles, which are easy to grab. Should work well for roasting anything. It also cleans up very nicely.UPDATE...I have baked every gooey dish in my recipe routine, and this casserole both heats evenly and cleans up like a dream.
