I placed a candle in the middle and surrounded it with different textured and coloured evergreen foliage from my garden, a few satin ribbons and coordinating baubles all on florists wire to secure them, and a small string of battery lights to finish. The water tray is excellent and holds plenty of water to keep pre soaked oasis wet, and the foliage fresh. I have never done this before and a florist may weep at my creation but I am delighted with it and had several comments from family and friends.
