Compressor wouldnt kick on. Drained freon, replaced this, refilled freon, feels like Alaska now

I was shock that this actually fixed my compressor... I was about to drop 400 bucks to get a new compressor and i ran across a video on YouTube about my buick with this compressor. So i found the cheapest look alike valve and bam it worked. 30 bucks and some refrigerant.
