The beans are French roasted past the 'pop and sizzle' until the beans are very dark brown and oily. Also known as the 'West Coast Roast', this French Roast is a full bodied, intense but smooth coffee with a smoky flavour. Founded over 25 years ago by John and Barbara Rogers, today the whole family work to maintain the highest standards in the industry. San Francisco Bay uses only truly exceptional, hand selected, 100 percent Arabica beans in their Premium Gourmet Blend Coffee. Review: Nice everyday coffee for the price! - During the lockdown I purchased a bean to cup coffee machine and quickly realised how much coffee I was drinking from home therefore went and looked for a cheap everyday coffee to save spending a fortune on the other coffee beans I had been sampling. As others have stated the beans are oily and oilier than I expected. Once I cleaned the machine and tried the coffee initially I wasn’t sold, however I stuck with it and I have to say as far as an everyday coffee at low cost goes this ticks the boxes. Will definitely purchase more to keep for every day usage and know they won’t be to everyone’s taste, however the main thing is that I like it. However as lock down eases I might take a 260 mile round trip to get some coffee beans due to them being essential for me to function.

**Q: Is it made in small batches**
A: As a user of this coffee I would say yes as the consistency in the roasting, the color taste and smell etc could not be kept so consistent in larger batches, i highly recommend this coffe since i started to use it my coffee bill has dropped as coffee shop coffee doesn't cut it anymore.

**Q: Is this coffee organic**
A: The packaging does not show it organic, so unlikely.

**Q: Are these in a transparent package? As your supposed to avoid light getting to your beans because they go off quicker.**
A: Yes the packaging is see-through in some sections. I reseal the bag and put it into a cupboard. I typically go through a couple of bags a month so they never sit for long.

**Q: Can you use this in a cafetier?**
A: Yes, just do a larger grind than you would for drip coffee.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Possible my favourite coffee yet!

I've been on a coffee journey for about five years now and started off with shop-bought ground coffees of many different varieties which seemed like the best thing ever, then graduated to grinding my own beans at home at the beginning of the pandemic, which was a totally next-level experience. I've tried a few different beans since then; the online subscriptions, the big brands and various other types, but I think I've struck gold with these beauties. I realised through trying different types of coffee that I prefer a pungent, smoky dark and strong coffee - and if that sounds like your cup of coffee, then I suggest you drop what you're currently doing and buy a bag of these beans. Don't get me wrong, there are some people who like the subtleties of their coffees and describe their favoured brews in the same way pretentious wine connoisseurs describe a fine Bordeaux or whatever, but I'm emphatically not one of these people. When I drink tea, it's got to be builders tea - and when I drink coffee it's a similar affair; I like it strong, dark and pungent, with a decent caffeine kick to to things off - and this stuff excels in all of those areas. If I was to say anything negative at all about these beans, it would be that, due to them being fairly oily, they do make a bit of a mess of my grinder. I've got a DeLonghi burr grinder and this stuff sticks to everything, which will make it interesting when I do eventually switch to a different coffee. Anyway, for the time being I've actually made a monthly subscription this this stuff as it's so good, which makes its already cheap cost even cheaper so it's a big WIN to enter the gates of coffee heaven and save some pennies in the process. I would suggest you give it a go.
