I bought these due to high concentrations of vit d but will go back to other brand which was fine and no unnecessary ingredients. This is misleading, it is not vegan at all. I contacted the manufacturer and asked them to clarify and was told that it was derived from lambs' wool and given a link to an article written by someone who claims they are vegan themselves and use lanolin derived D3 because it is derived from LIVE lambs' wool so obviously they claim that this animal derived vitamin is vegan. How ridiculous is that? Milk is taken from live cows and eggs from live hens, but that doesn't make them vegan either. Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes...Edit: following discussions with the manufacturer, the listing was amended to say it is vegetarian and not vegan.
