One thing it does better *by T***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 January 2015* Bought this just over a month ago. I've always previously used Gilette products and never tried anything else. Decided to give this a shot whilst waiting to get new blades for my Fusion ProGlide (FPG).It has quite a different feel compared to the FPG whilst shaving but the end result is pretty similar. One thing it does better is that the moisturising strip lasts a lot longer than on the FPG (which tends to last around 5-6 shaves at most). After almost a month of using it (around 15 shaves) the moisturising strip still moisturises the face as well as the first time.The handle is quite a bit bigger but comfort-wise it's fine. One advantage of the FPG is the rear blade which is missing here but in practice you can still shave tight spots like under the nose without flicking the moisturising strip back.The blades are considerably cheaper than the FPG too (which also has a lot of fake blades in circulation as I discovered to my cost).Between the two razors I would rate the FPG slightly higher when using a new blade but the Hydro 5 blades last longer and are cheaper so I think it's better value in the long term. For the first few shaves the razors are quite good but blades quickly deteriorate and lose their edge. I decided to try this top Wilkinson partly in search of a better shave and partly to see if blades lasted longer and were less expensive -Wilkinson tick all of those boxes for me! On top of all that I'm happy to be supporting a good British product. Paired with Men U shaving soap, unbeatable!! Down side?
