I am pleasantly surprised the quality is very very good. The mirror itself is good solid wood and a perfect size for my 3 and a half year old daughter to hold in her hand. It comes in a solid wood tray with compartments for each of the decorations which was great keeping it all separated and clear for my daughter to use herself. The glues, of which you get one normal and 3 glitter, are of brilliant quality as in my experience that makes all the difference. So many times I have had glue that takes forever to dry and that is no use with young children. The instructions suggest leaving it 24h to dry and I found it needed 12hours.If I had to state a negative it would probably be that the instructions are not the best and this is only because they are on the packaging, and personally I prefer to have a separate sheet with instructions. However the instructions on the packaging are very nice and clear.Overall a fab item that I would highly recommend to anyone. Ideal for a present. I discovered Melissa & Doug products last year and have purchased quite a lot of them now, both as gifts for others and for my own children and the quality is excellent every time. If you haven't tried Melissa & Doug products then I can hand on heart recommend them as I haven't had a disappointing item from the yet from across any of their range (puzzles, creative, dress up, pretend play etc).I bought two of these mirrors for two of my very creative nieces to go alongside the  Jewellery Box  and  Vanity Set  that I had bought them recently and this is a gorgeous addition to the two and makes a beautiful set.
