I could be mistaken. Should I continue to search for 17mm or replace wit taps entirely hoping they fit stem** A: the insert measures 17mm at one end and 18mm the other end. the 17mm end slides into the tap section and the 18mm end sits at the top as it has a lip which is why it is 18mm wide. They will fit, mine have given me no trouble as the new taps the seal broke up after only a few months. Very pleased with this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant *by A***R on 11 February 2025* Did wot they ment for ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No more drips. *by L***A on 12 November 2021* Bought these to fix a £110 kitchen tap that developed an annoying drip just 9 months after installing. I was a bit doubtful at first as these washers while the correct size were noticeably thicker than the ones in the tap they were replacing and when inserted into the end of the valve protruded from the end by 2mm. But once the valves were screwed back into the tap they worked perfectly fine, and no more drips.
