After such short usage, I can't speak to it's durability but it appears and feels well built. It also looks nice and sleek enough for a professional groomer. We could not be happier with the purchase. Now, cleaning and Maintenance: Step 1: adjust the fine tune ring to 0.8mm Step 2: press down on the blade, against the white cutting strip, toward the back of the clippers which will cause the blade to “pop off”. Be sure to have your other hand behind the clippers ready to catch the blade assembly. Step 3: with the provided brush, carefully brush debris from inside the mechanics toward the blade edges and away. Then from one edge to the other toward the tips of the blade.
