This is a nice set for beginners and it is so great to show my niece the wonders of the underwater world. The mask seals well and fins are a good size to give mobility without being so big they cause cramps. Don't underestimate the importance of fins or buy a mask/snorkel without them. Fins take a bit of getting used to but you can't truly enjoy snorkeling without them.Side note, to see if a mask fits / seals properly move the strap to the front and press the mask against your face. Mask should stay in place and you should be able to move your head up/down & side to side. If you can't even get the mask to stay on your face without the strap, return it, it will leak in the water. We took these on vacation to Punta Cana, and my girls used them every day. We didn't have the usual problem with leaky masks, as the US DIvers masks have a soft plastic outer seal that works really well. My girls, 5 and 10, haven't completely gotten the hang of the breathing tubes, but they will, with time. We look forward to using these at the pool this summer too.
