**Q: Looking for a cutter with the smoothest cutting, period. Is this superior to the Cricut or Silhouette? Noticed it is slightly more expensive.**
A: I actually have all cutters. The new cricut explore won't allow you to adjust the setting on the blade which isn't much of a deal breaker but I like that I can change that... I use the sizzix eclips2 the most because it does cut like butter. The software is easy to use.  I like the cricut explore but not as much as my eclipse.  I could careless for the silhouette, its OK.

**Q: What brand of vinyl works best with this machine?**
A: I tried several brands which all of them work quite well...the easy weed heat transfer...silhouette and just store bought no name ones

**Q: what cutting files will it cut**
A: I have been able to cut about any picture that I have found using the (trace image) option in the eCAL software.

**Q: Will it cut words i have designed in illustrator or photoshop using my own fonts that i have on my mac?**
A: I would think so.  I've cut hand drawn stencil designs
