I used a double overhand sliding loop, so I could adjust the tension into eye screws in a perimeter fence. The wax on the string gave the knot enough resistance to keep the twine tight, but allowed adjustment. Time will tell how well the twine holds up in the sun. I tried connecting two lengths with a sheet bend, but it kept slipping apart.
