It facilitates even vacuum pressure and gas release while absorbing excess resin, making it essential for composite layups and repairs. Lightweight yet durable, this cloth is favored by professionals for its reliable performance and ease of use. ## Description Within your vacuum bagging lay-up, this Breather/Bleeder drapes easily over your laminate, directly below your bagging film, to serve two key purposes. As a breather, it allows for vacuum pressure to be applied evenly across the entire surface of the laminate. It also permits any gases released during cure to escape. Use the 4 oz. format (#579) for applications working under 40 psi. The 7 oz. format (#1779) can be used at higher pressure cycles (between 40 and 85 psi), and provides a lower amount of surface porosity. When used as a bleeder, both varieties absorb excess resin applied during the lay-up process. Keep in mind, the 7 oz. will absorb more resin and may result in a dry part without careful control. Bleeder should be thrown away after use. ## Features - Breather and Bleeder Cloth (1 Yard Package) is a high fill non-woven polyester will easily drape and conform closely to the contours of your part. - It does not contain any binders which could close off air flow within the mold, and it will readily soak up excess resin. - As a breather, these products are used in the vacuum bagging process to evacuate all of the air in the bag while applying vacuum. - If used as a bleeder, these products absorb excess resin that was applied during the layup process. - Binder-free and conforms closely to contours of part. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B015NM0B8K | | ASIN | B015NM0B8K | | Brand Name | Fibre Glast | | Color | off-white | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (56) | | Customer reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (56) | | Date First Available | 6 October 2022 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00802390007610 | | Item Dimensions | 27.9 x 16.5 x 8.9 centimeters | | Item Form | Sheet | | Item Shape | Rectangular | | Item Weight | 4 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Fibre Glast | | Manufacturer | Fibre Glast | | Manufacturer reference | 579-A | | Material | Polyester | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 579-A | | Product Dimensions | 27.94 x 16.51 x 8.89 cm; 113.4 g | | UPC | 802390007610 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Fibre Glast - **Colour:** off-white - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 27.9 x 16.5 x 8.9 centimeters - **Material:** Polyester - **Shape:** Rectangular ## Images ![Fibre Glast 4 Ounce Breather and Bleeder Cloth - 60 Inches Wide - Polyester Cloth - Binder-Free - Conforms Closely to Contours of Part - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61OKqGIrBQL.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/487336817-fibre-glast-4-ounce-breather-and-bleeder-cloth-60-inches](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/487336817-fibre-glast-4-ounce-breather-and-bleeder-cloth-60-inches) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
