This does not matter for my usage. It has USB sockets for phone or i pad charging also there are two press switches on the top allowing you to switch off half of the sockets at a time should you wish to these illuminate when in the on position.It is sturdy and appears to be well put together. It is a very recent purchase but I would not hesitate to recommend this item.
