Initially I thought it would be difficult, but by the end I had decided to buy some liquid latex and give it a go. I found this 'Scarva Special Effect Liquid Latex Emulsion' on Amazon and thought for £6 I couldn't really go wrong. I had some doubts about my own skill and also had no idea how much I would need, so this seemed perfect to 'have a play with'.I had dabbled with liquid latex when I was younger and managed to achieve the 'old' or skin peeling look, and after watching several Youtube videos I felt ready to attempt something. Me being me, I went for a ripped out back of hand effect. Armed with this Scarva liquid latex and, amazingly, some toilet paper, I was able to create a pretty decent effect. Spurred on I thought I'd adapt the techniques used in the videos to my own needs.Instead of applying the latex directly to my skin I poured some on a shiny wooden box, then used a hair dryer to dry it up, once I had a good base layer I then began mixing bits toilet paper in with some of the latex and in effect moulded it to the shapes I wanted. A quick hair dryer blast and then carry on, building it up. Once I'd dried the last layer I've then used some acrylic paint to 'colour' it in. It'll need better blended make up once it's on.Within a few hours I had made a hand piece, a missing eye and ripped cheek piece (covers half of my face), a neck slit scar and a small scar. All of that and my first test piece that I threw away and I reckon I still have about half of the latex left.If you've the remotest interest in making some special effect pieces yourself, then get this product, or buy the bigger one. It's great fun and quite therapeutic to make yourself look gruesome!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ works *by B***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 November 2012* A nice big bottle of liquid latex. Does the job. Make sure you let it air a bit by opening the lid for a minute or two before using as it does smell quite horrible!! My only gripe is that it didn't have a detachable lid to pour the latex in to work with, had to use a bowl (probably could've used something more practical but couldn't think of anything at the time) and I ended up pouring out way too much.
