It provides an RF output for RF based viewing at multiple TV locations. It also enables Infra Red control via the TV Link Sky Eye / Magic Eye type IR controllers that use the RF2 socket. Please be aware that the RF output is an analogue signal not a digital (Freeview) type. To adjust the RF output channel press the [SERVICES] button and then press [0] [0] [1] then [SELECT]. Nothing will be shown on the TV screen until you press the Select button. You can then use the [RIGHT] arrow button on the remote until the RF OUT menu is shown and press SELECT to change the values. Adjust the RF channel number as required and make sure you set RF Outlet Power Supply to ON . I tried cutting my own length of co-axial cable and putting the ends on but it did not carry the power to the Magic eye. You can test if the cable is causing issues by plugging the magic eye directly into the I/O Link - if the red light comes on for the Magic eye then it's the aerial cable that needs replacing.Problems aside, it's great once it's setup! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fixes the problem. Suddenly our upstairs TV which had been reliant on "out" connection from the Sky Box was no longer there.After a brief cry and some soul searching, I was ready to move on. But on off-chance, I did a Google search and found that you can use the Global I/O socket (??) in the back with one of these guys. For the money, I figured I'd take a punt, and I'm glad I did. It was one of those "work out of the box" solutions! I didn't have to retune or change any settings on the Sky box either. Even the remote control works as expected.I wouldn't think twice about reccomending this product to those lost souls with a small Sky box! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT LITTLE PIECE OF KIT AT A SMALL PRICE. *by O***F on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 1 August 2016* I was one of the people who were caught when I got sky back again after being without it for about 8 years as I was getting Freeview through it anyway but the Sky Cinema caught my eye and I decided to get back into it again. I also wanted to be able to change the channels independently from the other room. The long shot was, I ended up with a new Sky Dish, two new Sky Boxes and I was set to go BUT with the new boxes now, they HAVEN'T got a RF Modular Signal Out build in to them anymore as the installer kindly told me. So I had to buy this beauty of a gadget. After I received it, I read the simple instructions, plugged it in, re-tuned the second T.V and boom it worked a treat.
