**Q: Will it fit any violin?**
A: I'd say it fits well most full size violins. Obviously this is a quick fix and not a made to measure bridge unless you're good at fixing up that sort of thing yourself because it leaves a little room either side of the bridge feet ( maybe 2mm at the most) where the feet don't actually touch down fully on the violin body. However it is pretty sturdy, I put mine in a student violin so I'm not fussed but if your instrument is valuable it's your call.

**Q: Do these bridges come with notches already cut into them?**
A: Hi. Yes they do.

**Q: Is it notched as in the picture?**
A: Yes, it is notched, but these are only a guide. The bridge will have to be tailored to your violin. The two feet have to fit snugly on the violin belly. Legs will require a bit of thinning. The body of the bridge will also require some shaving to get the thicknesses right. Also and most importantly the height of the bridge and the arch needs to be tailored to your violin dependent upon the angle and slant of your fingerboard. All this can be learned from the internet but you will need to be very dexterous and have good sharp tools, knives, scrapers and a small plane. I suggest you Google a site “ how to fit a violin bridge”. It is quite an art but a well positioned bridge makes a huge difference to the sound and volume of your instrument. A good luthier will rightly charge you for a couple of hours work to do this.

**Q: Hi all, thinking of lowering bridge to 3mm (E-string) above fingerboard (and G to 4mm, etc). Is this a good idea?**
A: Yes
