Review: Smooth, Long Lasting Energy But Don't Expect Energy Surge Like Caffeine - If you take caffeine regularly (like 2-3+ cups of coffee a day or 200mg in capsule/tablet form for energy/pre-workout) there's a high likelihood you will think this doesn't work. It's because you're expecting to "really feel it" like caffeine, which you won't. Caffeine kicks in somewhat abruptly in about 20 minutes. This kicks in gradually and the energy boost doesn't really start to kick in until 1.5 hours and it peaks at about 3 hours and lasts 8-10 hours. Gradual up and gradual down. Way different than caffeine. I prefer it. But for those looking for a "jolt" similar to caffeine you will mistakenly think it doesn't work. 100mg is a good average dose for the average size person in my opinion but 2 capsules ( 200mg) should be no problem if you want a bit more pronounced effect. I personally have a predisposition to anxiety. I found that 200mg puts me way too much "on edge" all day. 1 cap at 100mg does the same thing to a lesser degree that is manageable but I found the sweet spot is 80mg meaning I dump a tiny bit out of the capsule. Note that 50mg (half cap) or less has shown with many to have an opposite calming effect! I'm 5'11" 190lbs male. For those without anxiety issues looking for a noticeable energy burst that is long lasting a lot of people would combine 100-200mg of this with 100mg caffeine to get the more immediate noticeable boost of the caffeine and the longer term effect of the Teacrine. The main benefit of taking this over caffeine is not just the all-day effect but you won't build tolerance to it like you will with caffeine.
Review: The energy I’ve been missing! - After about 20 years, I’ve gotten off antidepressants and anti anxiety medications. It was hell for a while withdrawing from benzodiazepines but the worst part was the constant, unrelenting fatigue of the past few months. I can’t sleep worth a **** without them but it’s my mission to be free of prescription medications. I’m working on my sleep hygiene and I know it will get better. Eventually. But the hardest thing to deal with is the daytime fatigue that is just inescapable. I wake up all through the night, I clocked 21 times the other night, so you can imagine how my days feel. Coffee only gets me to not cry and lament all morning while contemplating whether life really is worth living (not even a joke, I feel THAT bad, albeit briefly) because at this point I feel weak, ill, and completely untethered for the first couple of hours of my day, then I struggle to collect myself, go to work, and come home to collapse into yet another sleepless night. If you take caffeine regularly (like 2-3+ cups of coffee a day or 200mg in capsule/tablet form for energy/pre-workout) there's a high likelihood you will think this doesn't work. It's because you're expecting to "really feel it" like caffeine, which you won't. Caffeine kicks in somewhat abruptly in about 20 minutes. This little pill gives me all day energy with no crash. If you have trouble sleeping like I do take it early in the morning, It has no crash like caffeine and gives me all day clean energy. I'm using this now as a nootropic combined with Creatine, caffeine, and other amino acids to help my focus and working memory. The stack I'm taking seems to be working. IQ was previously measured at 90 is now 101. My stack seems to be working and I will continue to monitor for improvements in intelligence and working memory.
