It is really tight and the apple case I have flexes and folds. The outside edge of the apple case is thinner and when this band is on causes those thin edges to completely fold in. The apple case was nearly 100 pounds so I don't want the case to be damaged by another product. I also struggled to get the pencil in there. This product really is just an elastic band with really nice packaging.
