Although it is well finished and attractive in appearance it suffers from a lack of power. I don't know why in this technologically accomplished age we now live in it is so difficult to make a battery operated motor equal to the relative modest demands made of it. The motor in this grinder is obviously struggling to accomplish its relatively modest task. It does the job, but only just - and even then comes to a halt when it finds a peppercorn that it doesn't like. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent coffee grinder *by D***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 2 December 2014* Excellent coffee grinder, not too noisy. Yet when it comes to grinding small quantities of spices, it doesn't perform very well. For example when I grind a teaspoon of coriander seeds and a few peppercorns, the grinder only crushes them, it doesn't turn them into a powder even after a minute of grinding.
