Very easy to clean, I use my pastry scraper and a damp cloth. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good for the price *by P***Z on 9 January 2018* Pizza Paddle / Peel This is obviously a cheap product, so you can't expect solid wood - although it seems some of the reviewers did. I bought it after we got a wood fired pizza oven and it's fine for this, although really you need a wooden peel like this to prepare the pizza and put them in the oven and then ideally a metal peel to take them out. I just put some cornmeal on the peel which stops the pizza sticking, but I’ve read that you can use semolina as an alternative, but not flour as it burns (mad this mistake the 1st time). You can use this wooden one to take them out but you've got to be quick to avoid burning it. As we are making pizzas quite often I’ve just bought a 2nd one of these wooden peels so I can prepare 2 at a time and get a metal peel for removing them. As others have mentioned if you put it in water the wood will swell, but I wouldn’t call it splinters. After this happened I sanded it down and seasoned it with oil. This helps it withstand staining better so it doesn’t need washing that often.
