The Tamiya 77504 Model Boat Battle Nelson is a highly detailed 1:700 scale plastic model kit of the iconic HMS Nelson battleship. Measuring 32.2 x 11.4 x 3.6 cm and weighing 218 grams, it offers an authentic, historically accurate build experience perfect for adult hobbyists and collectors passionate about military history and model craftsmanship.

## Description

Product Description The HMS Nelson launched as a Nelson class type ship on September 3, 1925 and entered service in 1927. Like its sister ship, the HMS Rodney, the Nelson had three 16" treble gun towers placed in the well-protected front half of the ship (bow/midship). She was at times flagship of the Royal Navy and initially served mostly together with her sister ship HMS Rodney. In World War II, the Nelson belonged to the Homefleet and was involved in the search for various German warships. From 1941, she supported the Allied landings in North Africa and later the landing on Sicily. When landing in Normandy, she ran on two mines in the summer of 1944. After its repair, it was used in the Pacific, then transferred to the reserve and scrapped in 1949. The TAMIYA kit model impresses with its accuracy of fit and detail.
