The 6 cartons arrive in a sturdy cardboard retail pack. The cartons are attractively designed, with clear ingredient and nutrient information. They have the familiar flip-top plastic lids that these kind of milk cartons usually have. The milk is very creamy and quite thick - a bit like full fat milk. The distinctive almond flavour cuts through immediately, along with a sweetness which is rounded out by a nutty, oaty taste. It's a nicely balanced taste overall, making it a very nice drink on its own, straight out of the fridge. I've so far tried it in coffee, tea, and on cereal, and it works nicely with all of them. Coffee snobs might complain that the almond flavour is a little too strong, but I personally don't mind that. It's particularly good for jazzing up basic instant coffee. The milk froths really well if you use an electric frother, so you can make a really nice latte style coffee with it. This milk is great on cereal, and I'm thinking it would also be really good in porridge or instant oats. I love that Rude Health have made this milk Vegan/Vegetarian friendly, gluten free, Kosher and free of artificial additives. The ingredients are all natural. My only minor issue with this product is that it's technically more of an oat milk than an almond milk. Looking at the ingredients, it's only 2% almonds, but 13% oats, so I'm actually surprised the almond flavour is as strong as it is. That quibble aside, this is a really tasty milk alternative, and at £2.20 per carton, it's reasonable value for money.
