**Q: Hi, is this the exact same product as the ones in the 40 pack - b004wcu37w**
A: Yes that is correct, this is the 20 sheet pack of Silent Coat 2mm.

**Q: If you were welding on a panel that had this stuck on would you remove it from the whole panel? I have this on the floor panel and it needs welding**
A: As a safety precaution I would remove all material from the panel, particularly any material within close proximity but heat from the welding can spread through the metalwork too.

**Q: does this material absorb water**
A: Hi, this material does not absorb water, it is a butyl rubber product with an aluminium foil cover.

**Q: please can you advise if this is ok to use under the bonnet, i.e. is it heat resistant?**
A: Hi, the product is not bitchumen/tar based, it is a butyl based compound and is resistant to high temperatures up to 150 Celsius. It is therefore suitable for use under bonnet or in the engine bay as long as it is not in close contact with an exhaust manifold or turbo. The adhesive is very strong and designed for high temp use, just ensure metal is grease and oil free before applying.
