Not had a cake stick (I always line with plenty of butter, have never used the cake release spray) and have always found the cake bake/rise nice & evenly (I always place tin directly onto oven shelf, never on a baking tray, to allow air to circulate in my fan oven). Perfect size for larger cake mixes, advertised as a 12 cup tin but I've found it copes with even slightly more.
