Latest uses, after repairing the broken garden lamppost, is to secure the cars under engine heatshield, that rattled and clanked and drove me nuts, but not anymore, as a marbled sized chunk of this across the worn clips, has it tight and secured again. Also used on the plastic door bin in the RV, as both lower brackets had sheered off. A small mix of this, rolled out like a caterpillar, saw both sides secured stronger that the day it came out of the factory. Now I’ve used it, it’ll be my go to product for repairs and sooooooo much better than the stuff in tubes that need mixing and is usually half filled with air and no product. Get your wallet ready, as you know you want some 👍🏻

**Q: A hairline crack slowly losing air in a alloy wheel?**
A: I think it would but it would be safer to have the repair carried out by an alloy wheel repair shop. Or at least have it checked after repair.

**Q: Can it glue & stick a metal wing morror mount to a metal braket. So metel to metal using the "glueing" principle?**
A: Hello Oliver

I only used it as a filler to repair an aluminium step up on a 4 x 4 and in my opinion, I don’t think I would want to use it as the sole means of attaching your wing mirror mount.

At the end of the day when you’re driving along there is going to be a fair amount of wind resistance on the mirror and the last thing you’d want is for it to come off damaging your car or someone putting a claim into your insurance for damage sustained to their car or personal injury if it came off and hit someone.
Is there no way you could attach the mirror mount and maybe blind the fixing screws over with Quiksteel.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful as I only used it for making a repair to a damaged surface rather than trying to make an attachment.

**Q: what's the colour when hardened please?**
A: When mixed the "activator" in the middle is black so it ends up being a dull, dark grey once dried.  Kind of like the colour of lead.

**Q: Is this suitable to fill chips and divots on alloy wheels?**
A: Yes just follow the instructions

I’ve written about this product before and still rate it really highly. The best thing for metal repairs. No messing about with a spatula and mixing liquids. This comes in a handy tube and you simply cut off as much as you need and mix it together. It sets in a few minutes and rock hard within a few hours. Perfect!

This is easy to use and very good for patching holes in aluminium. However it is darker than raw aluminium and as such if you want a cosmetic repair on unpainted metal you possibly want to look at another product. If you're painting it or it's in a hidden area then no worries!
