The smell is nice and it must be water based because it is not at all greasy. I have been using this now at night underneath my normal moisturiser for about 2 weeks and have noticed a big difference in my skin. It not only feels soft and supple but I'm sure it's clearer and smoother. Give this a go ladies - it is worth a try. I am very particular about skin care and I love it. Doesn't smell fragrant any more. Is it past its expiry date? If so any advice on what to use it for now!** A: Hi again. I wrote to Lulu themselves and have a better answer for you. This product has a shelf life of 3 years and a period after opening (PAO) of 3 years too. See their response here; Oil tends to have a long PAO…. Beauty products have a Shelf Life and a Period After Opening So for example typically in the UK all beauty products have at least a 3 year shelf life (otherwise they have to carry an expiry date or Best Before date), so if un-opened it would last this long. However they also carry a PAO (period after opening) so as soon as you open a product the expiry is reduced to this, little number found on the back of packs what looks like an open jar (see picture attached). This is our hand cream which has a 3 year shelf life but a PAO of 12 months.
