As a rule fill by 2/3rds as they will expand over night and when cooking. These casings are perfect for home sausage making. Hog sausage casings are supplied salted to preserve them and give a longer shelf life. Perfect for a large breakfast sized sausage. Available in 24 meter length by 36/40 mm diameter. Ingredients Natural Skins Hog Casings36 / 40mm - 80ft -On TAPE/tubes Directions We recommend natural skins should be soaked in fresh cold water for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight for best results. Review: Efficency and so easy to use - On purchasing this product I was abit sceptical as to how well this product would perform. I needed a smaller sausage maker than I already own which has proven to be a clumsy, messy piece of equipment and horrendous to clean . With this product there was no need to doubt is abilities its a superb, efficient easy to use maker I love it . Unfortunately my dog got hold of an important piece and decided to chew it so I have emailed the seller to try and obtain a replacement part . If need be I will buy a complete replacement as I can not praise this little machine enough .
Review: Good quality, easy to work with - Follow the manufacturer's instructions and you'll end up with some nice sausages. I've found it good to work with and tasty. Will order again.

- 5m of casings will use around 4-5kg sausage meat, use this as a guide if you’re not sure how much casings you need.
- Supplied salted to ensure freshness, simply re-salt and keep in an airtight container in the fridge after use to keep them fresh.
- Soak the casings overnight in cold water, drain and soak in lukewarm water for a further 30 minutes before use.
- Simply slide the casing on to your nozzle using the plastic tape as a guide, remove the plastic tape and fill!

**Q: Can someone please elaborate on how the skins are loaded onto the feed tube.  I don’t understand how tape helps...**
A: The skins are pushed over a plastic casing. Just slide the first cm over, push the skin beginning onto your feeder tube, feed it from the plastic casing until all of it is on the tube,just take your time and do it slowly otherwise it will rip.

A: If it's from amazon they will deliver anywhere in eu where they have a warehouse. Just log in into amazon uk and place your adress where you live.I usually order from de. and us. all the time.

**Q: Should these be kept refrigerated before i open the packet or can i keep them unopened in a cupboard?**
A: I always store my packets in the fridge, i never keep leftover/unused pieces after they have been rinsed for use, but maybe they can be re-salted ?

**Q: What is the shelf life of the casings while salted & also after rinsing, resalting & refrigerating please?**

Follow the manufacturer's instructions and you'll end up with some nice sausages. I've found it good to work with and tasty. Will order again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good enough but a few tears

The skins are perfectly ok a few more years than I would want especially as I don’t want any but they expand well full perfectly well - I appreciate the packaging in salt which gives a good long life as I only make a batch of sausages every couple of months so at least none of the skins go to waste.
