For a tiny, powerful laptop (which the Surface Pro is) the only bulky item is the plug, this meant that the power did not neatly fit in a small bag. After a quick search on desertcart I came across this collapsible plug which is well engineered and folds perfectly flat. Now my Surface Pro fits neatly in its bag with the power adaptor and plug! I have been using this for 2 months now and have no issues at all, the socket does not seem to be loosening which was my main concern (and why I waited to offer a review). Personally I think Microsoft could learn alot from ThinPlug and should ship this cable with all of their Surface product range. Great product and well worth the £10. Review: Ideal for Surface 2 Pro - This purchase was a secondary item, this first was a bag for the surface pro (crown case), and I needed a plug that folded flat and didn't puncture the soft case or leave any marks. This plug does exactly that and work perfectly with the Surface 2 Pro. The ThinPlug is great for space saving and preventing holes being poked in my case. **Q: What fuse is this fitted with?** A: 3 amps; but just in case you were thinking of fitting any higher, well I wouldn't. Not that I am a "sparky" but being HSE person, anything related to safety I need to know something about. Anyhow, here's my observations - one of the ways the manufacturer sought to reduce bulk and weight is to use thin cable, and keep it short. Diameter of each of the wires within is 0.75sq.mm (says so on the cable) which is thinner than some of the cables which come with some laptops. This cable and 3 amps fuse should be fine with any of the laptops I could think of but I would not put 5 amp or higher rated fuse into the plug. If things go wrong you would want the fuse to blow - which is it's function. Typically the transformer / charger on a laptop takes input of 1.5 to 2.5 amps. **Q: How long is the power lead? I'm looking for a compact solution, so anything more than about 0.5m would be too bulky. Thanks.** A: Bought this a few years back, can't find it now. I stopped using it cos I bought a compact psu with interchangeable international plugs.
