The bracket is deigned to fit on a standard scaffolding pole with the hoist the attached using the brackets provided with the hoist. **Q: If this is fixed on the scaffold pole will it pivot or is this a fixed support arm?** A: Yes does pivot , really good little hoist, already had plenty of use. Pulled up a staircase , joists, flooring, plasterboard etc etc form a loft conversion well worth the money.
