**Q: Don't have much space between car an rack will they scratch car?**
A: The hook part goes under the rack and the clamp goes on top of the ladders, so as long as you have enough gap (approx 10mm) ie the diameter of the hook bar, between the rack and the roof of your car, then you should be fine.

**Q: is there only one clamp, they usually come in pairs**
A: There are 2 clamps supplied. Very good quality and locks are sturdy.
