Was not sure if the item would fix the problem but after checking the grill element and finding that the thermostat still worked, I was confident that this would fix the problem.The item arrived quickly and well packaged. The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was that the power rating of this element was 2500W whereas, the item I was replacing was 2300.The oven did not need removing from the kitchen cabinets as access to the heating element is made through the main oven door. I removed the shelves and then the protective guard that covers the fan blade and element was accessible and easily removable with 4 x screws.The element had 3 x screws which were again easy to remove and then the most difficult part of the job was removing the short wires from the back of the old element. A pair of pliers and some patience sorted this out.The new element fitted in once the wires were connected, and there were no problems with installation.My oven now works better than it has ever done and heats up quicker too.Definitely recommend this item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what i needed. *by D***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2020* The main oven had been broken for a long time and was using the grill function instead to cook, after getting a quote from an appliance engineer to fix it that would have been cheaper to buy a new oven I decided to research and have a go myself. Was pleasantly surprised how cheap the part was so decided to have a go at fitting it myself. Turned out to be very easy to replace and is now working like a charm. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits Baumatic B187 *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 July 2017* Have been without my oven for over 3 years! Had no idea just how easy it would be to replace the element but had no intention of paying an electrician to do so!After finding this on amazon for under 8 quid and checking out YouTube videos I have just done the job myself (previously thought it would be beyond a 60 year old womans' capabilities!) and my oven is back up and working.So easy to fit ... I did so in a matter of minutes of it being delivered having removed the cover and element screws in preparation. Did not disconnect the 2 connectors as they have very short wires and wanted to remove and immediately reconnect to the new element one at a time so they didn't disappear into the back of the oven.Fits my Baumatic B187SS perfectly.
