Review: Very high quality - I was going to buy the desertcart Basics hinge, but these looked to be more finely finished, and that proved to be the case. They have a refined, precision feel and look. Tension adjustment is a breeze and it works like a charm. I replaced the middle hinge on one of the French doors to my office. The reason is I use a room humidifier in the winter and whenever our dog would come into the office, she'd push the door open with her nose and then it would stay open, releasing all my humidified air. Now the door gently closes behind her.

A: No, the holes are standard size used on hinges in the US. I installed them on a bedroom door which was a simple process of removing the old one, installing the new one. Lube them good with WD40 before installation, it will prevent them from squeaking.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unexpected upgrade with real functionality

Our building inspector required self latching hinges on our pool house doors. These hinges were required in case there was a child in the building. I was concerned that this would be a hassle. We were pleased with the ease of installation, fit, and look that these provided. I wasn’t aware how nice and functional self latching hinges could be. They close nicely and tightly. No large bangs. This was an upgrade I didn’t expect and now will consider for our home auxiliary doors. Or handyman had no problems with installation and they look like they came with the doors. Kudos.
