(This one came from Germany).The voltage is the same as the UK and it comes with a good quality adapter so that it can be plugged into UK electrical outlets so there's no problem with compatibility.The rest of this review will be a comparison with my previous Braun Multiquick which came with almost identical components and was purchased around 12 years ago which incidentally I was very happy with.The jugs and beakers are a high quality polycarbonate (or similar) material and the blades are a very tough stainless steel on tough plastic shafts (all the same as the previous models), the gear boxes are the same as the original and Braun have uprated the motor from 450w to 600w. In addition they have switched from using plastic to stainless steel for the stick blender attachment, making it even more durable than the original.With respect to operation, it does everything it says on the tin and when it comes to making milkshakes, smoothies and soups it's superior to any blender I have used, (it makes the best creamy mashes in the 1.5L jug) and it's easier to keep clean too.The previous model I owned lasted for 12+ years and is still going strong although it's starting to show its age so based on what I have seen so far I have no doubt that this new model will last just as long if not longer. Last time I checked,( 2013), most or all the components were available separately so spares shouldn't be a problem. I'd highly recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best there is out there! *by I***7 on 10 February 2014* Have been trying out many other hand blenders since my last Braun went kaput..but nothing works like a Braun! Was worried since they have stopped selling it in the UK, but glad to manage getting this on Amazon.. Works just as it should..and like a dream too... Very highly recommended!! The only thing missing would be a medium sized container for the blender - but will be able to source it again from Amazon.. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but not as good as the old one. *by D***D on 6 June 2014* This is a good product: it does what it says it will and it does it effectively. But. My last one of these lasted over ten years and I still have various bits of it to compare to this model. The new one is nowhere near as robust. The motor is lighter, the plastic on the jugs is thinner, there is no speed gradient etc etc. I am afraid this is like all things: cut costs, make an inferior product and hope that people don't notice. Well we do.
