SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment is a concentrated solvent-free and water-based woodworm treatment. It can be applied to any type of timber by brush or pump-action sprayer with a coarse nozzle. SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment is ready to use right out of the 5-litre can and also available as a user-friendly handheld 500ml spray bottle. The SoluGuard formulation targets all stages of the woodworm lifecycle: from eggs to woodworm to fully-grown adult wood-boring beetles. Effective on most common wood-boring beetle species, including the House Longhorn Beetle and Common Furniture Beetle. SoluGuard Woodworm Treatment can be used as a preventative treatment or new timber or timber that is not infested with woodworm to prevent future infestations. It can also be used as part of a wider woodworm treatment on infested wood. For prevention, 1 litre covers 5 m2. A 5 litre pack covers 25 m2. When used as a curative, 1 litre covers 3.3 m2. A 5 litre pack covers 16.5 m2. Before application, ensure any paint, varnish, dirt or any other surface coating is removed. Wood should be clean and free from dust and other contaminants. Signs of woodworm include holes in wood and sawdust (also known as frass) around the suspected woodworm holes. Damaged wood and dead beetles may also be spotted around the wood area. Using Soluguard Woodworm Treatment preventatively is a much less costly alternative to any curative treatment, as repairs are always needed when dealing with active woodworm infestation.
