As others have mentioned, the lid can be quite loose and it must have fallen off when I removed the cup from my bag to get my purse. Unfortunately I didn't notice and the cup is now useless. I emailed to ask if I could purchase or obtain a replacement lid but no reply. I am not sure whether I will replace it as the price has gone up quite a bit since I bought it only a few months ago and competitors such as KeepCup are now more economic. When it's freshly cleaned sitting on my desk with the perfectly made coffee I feel like this is one of the best drink containers you could ever buy. Cleaning by hand is something you have to figure out since the lower portion of the inside has a restrictive diameter. Still.. No condensation, minimal leaks when it falls on the side and a decent price. I did actually like the cup though so just bought a second one, and used the original in the house. And you can guess it, 2nd lid missing, and then both of these smashed pretty quick.
