I believe it can only be done by a professional. I had the cat flap fitted in a double glazed glass unit then had the unit fitted into the conservatory door. The originality le glazed glass unit is stored so if I no longer want the cat flap it can be refitted. This was very costly - £200. **Q: Can someone let me know what size the flap is please, so I know if my large cat and small dog could potentially use it. Thank you.** A: I have three cats, two of which are large (fat!). Actual opening is 14.5cm square and they don't have any problems through - it really is bigger than it looks. It's also very well made and looks good too. We have it in a patio door (had new dg panel made with circular hole for the flap).
