Review: Works very well - I have had various makes of manual wheel sharpeners including Minosharp & Kitchen devils. This is by far the best. I am concerned about the longevity of the wheels but after sharpening 8 different knives, including Global & Robert Welch, I am extremely impressed by how sharp they all are. On first use it is clear that the diamond abrasive is really working hard and it quickly grinds the edge back to remove a few years worth of damage. It is a bit expensive but since it really works well I believe it still represents the best value.

I soon acquired a fine cutting edge on one of my kitchen knives but am still working on the other. Why this is taking so long I am unsure and, likewise, unsure if it is the fault of the sharpener, me or the hardness of the steel used in the blade. On this I will reserve judgement. As for price, although very sturdy and solidly built, I do believe it is not competitively priced.
