It'll help your seedlings and plants develop a healthy root system, helping them to become established. I've used some on potato plants, carrots, strawberries, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, chilli peppers and onions and all are doing great this year. There are some plants that don't like it but you can quickly Google and found out which ones these are instead of me listing them all here. I've used a couple of brands and they both seem to work well, however I prefer the Rootgrow because it's in a granular/fine gravel like form and so is easier to handle. The other brand is a fine powder and trends to get airborne more easily when applying. The 60g pouch works out really expensive and doesn't go very far at all. I bought it as a tester really. Far more cost effective to get the larger pouches or buckets depending on how much you intend to use. I usually mix a very small handful into the soil/compost around the root ball of plant when I plant out. I used it on 12 small cuttings, which are flourishing really well. I still have plenty left. **Q: Any good for lilac tree cuttings** A: Only used for bare root roses you could try Doff rooting power **Q: Best way to mixed it up how much water.** A: Didn't dilute just sprinkled in planting hole.
