A: Yes they are slightly slanted. Mine are 19" in length at the top and 17" in length at the bottom. Hope this helps.

A: Yes Becky, the inside measurement of the base is 15 X 10 inches, my bottle of champagne is 12 inches. They are quite deep and also make very useful storage. Best wishes

A: Shorter end widens to 13" at the top, but only 10" at the bottom.  Longer end approx 13" at bottom so will depend upon size of books.
