Review: Use the right batteries and there’ll be no problema with hot WiZmote - I’ve read many reviews about these remotes getting hot. But no one mention the kind of batteries they’re using. When you open the compartment to install the batteries- it says in big letters inside-FOR USE WITH ALKALINE BATTERIES ONLY (LR03) - it also comes with 2 of them. I’ve enclosed foto of that. Don’t replace the batteries with lithium ion batteries or anything but alkaline LR03. For the good stuff-the remotes are awesome. Pair easily and you can set 4 different modes then adjust the brightness by pressing the plus or minus to increase or decrease dimming. It’s that simple, you just have to set your favorite modes up in the app and that’s it. They will be available on your remote. Another thing to note is, they will control the bulbs that they are connected to for example, if you only have one bulb in the room and you pair it with that, it will control that one bulb but if you group all the bulbs together, let’s say you have seven bulbs in the room, and you put them in a group, they will all be controlled by the remote simultaneously. Whatever color you choose, all of those seven bulbs will be exactly the same brightness or dimness, depending on what you do. If you have two groups of lights in the room, they will only control one group just keep that in mind unless you group all of the lights together. For the price, you can buy enough to power all your lights on in your house if that’s what you want to do. They connect quickly and easily, and the price was great. I purchased more than one for this very reason. In addition to the four modes that you have for colors, there’s also a moon button on the remote and that is a nightlight. You have two options for the remote, you can leave your light switches on ( standby) and just control the ON - OFF with the remote or you can shut the switch that controls your lights and then when you turn them on with the switch, you can let the remote take over. Really love having these remotes in the house for different lights as our house only has WiZ lights so more WiZmotes made sense. Definitely recommend!
Review: Nice little bonus unit.. - Works like a charm was easy to set up.. saves opening a stupid app to use lights.. only issue you can only use it with one group of lights.. so if you have bunch of different areas you would need one per, would be excellent if it had 3 or 4 areas...4 buttons so could charge which set it controls.. that's would be excellent

**Q: How big is it. Does it cover more than one outlet in a standard two up wall outlet?**
A: No, it only covers the one outlet it's plugged into. The other outlet will still be accessible by anything with a normal straight plug.

**Q: Can this switch be used for a light/ceiling fan?**
A: As long as the socket is the correct size for the bulb. You can screw it in and connect it to wifi by following the instructions. It should work fine.

**Q: Will the motion sensor control other smart bulbs?**
A: if you have it connected to another smart home system you can. on its own, i dont think it can

**Q: Can you use the button to control the wiz smart plugs as well as the bulbs?**
A: Download the WIZ app can control any light and light bulk that sync to the app. Wiz mobile remote is flexible enough to manage the lights, or motion sensor to automate the functionality. You can group the range or the lights that you want to remote separately via the APP.

I’ve read many reviews about these remotes getting hot. But no one mention the kind of batteries they’re using. When you open the compartment to install the batteries- it says in big letters inside-FOR USE WITH ALKALINE BATTERIES ONLY (LR03) - it also comes with 2 of them. I’ve enclosed foto of that. Don’t replace the batteries with lithium ion batteries or anything but alkaline LR03. For the good stuff-the remotes are awesome.
