I have eaten various types of kaya for the past 30 years, and I can identify the authenticity of kaya as soon as I taste and smell them. This product is an authentic kaya, without any additives, or colour/preservatives. I have tried a few different kaya spread in London for the past few years, and none has come close to the one that I've tried in Malaysia, and this specific product reminds me of the similar taste, texture and smell of the one made locally in Malaysia. It is interesting to note that after opening, the manufacturer recommmends that users finish the product in one month, and keep it refrigerated. This again proves the authenticity of the product, because usually real kaya doesn't last beyond a month. In summary, this is a delightful product and I'm glad to get something that is so rare to obtain outside Malaysia :) Review: Great! - Soooo delicious. However it might be a little 'light' and faint to those who are used to very sweet Kaya. Obviously my parents weren't keen on sweet stuff so this is the taste I grew up knowing. With the quality tho - I've ordered twice and the second order came smashed. It will show as not eligible for refund / return but I called Amazon and they issued a refund which I then used to reorder. The '3rd' bottle came perfect.
