    18th century fashion.

I brought this book at full price for my personal collection. I colour purely as a hobby, one that I put an incredible amount of time and effort in to.I own quite a few of the Dover colouring books and always find them to be great quality for the price and this is no different. There are 45 illustrations and each page is double sided. The paper quality isn't great, the tooth disappears almost entirely within 2-3 layers of pencil. Fine liners and gel pens go straight through to the other side also. Each page provides information on the outfits and a general idea of the colours that would have been prevalent. An example of this is the quote: " The lady wears a pale satin tunic over a white gown." The historical information included in this book is well researched and a very nice touch. This isn't one of Dover's best books but for £3 It does give good value for money. I have included pictures from the book below to help you make your decision of whether to buy the book.

    Brilliant little colouring book

Brilliant little colouring book, it is both informative to a degree and well printed with strong lines work, making it clearly divided between colour sections. My daughters and i both loved it, though one of my eldest colourings looked more like a seventies reject that a Victorian lady...
