Also, I cannot tell if it opens 180 degrees or just 90.** A: It only opens 90 degrees, but I have not had it ever flop closed. **Q: Is that suspension? I'm one of those guys who pays more to get a premium product if I think the value is there. In this case (no pun intended), I went for the cheaper price since I don't plan on transporting my new electric violin beyond the walls of my house. I'm impressed that it is a great case for the money. It protects the instrument, holds two bows securely, and has a drape that covers the violin to protect it in the event that I release the bow without paying attention to the chances of it hitting the violin.
