The hold, to me, is very light. It’s closer to a beard butter then a balm to me. I don’t want to take anything away from it though. Super smooth and easy to work with. My only negative is the vanilla scent isn’t quite strong enough, it’s there but it’s faint compared to the oil version of this balm. If it would of had more a that scent it’s an easy 5 stars.
