It is battery powered so does not need winding. When the battery runs out it will need a new one. £3-£4 in most outlets. I wear mine every day for work so it is hard use but I am only a couple of weeks in. Overall great value budget watch. **Q: Does it have battrey** A: Yes, but the pin on the buckle broke twic. 1st time back to amazon 2nd time back to sekonda **Q: Is the gap between the spring bars and case wide enough to fit a nato/slip through strap?** A: It's not a big gap. Looking at my own with the strap as you see it which came with it, there's not a lot of clearance. It's a good size for me and the blue face is stylish. The straps comfortably too. The only issue I have is that the hands are thin and the same thickness as each other and with the dark face it can sometimes in certain lights be hard to read the time.
