Perfect. - Very good stuff. I've used this before and the seals are still there. Last used on 4X4 exhaust where downpipe from engine meets the cat pipe. Very hot part, movement and exposed to snow, mud, rain, water, grass, gravel, poo you name it. This stuff is very good. Weather, movement, extreme heat, stone impact etc haven't effected it. The seal is still good over a year later. Didn't effect the cat with any fumes or adversely reading too. Highly recommended. Review: Nice product, as described - The nose was unusable after a while. If you are wanting an almost solid bead before bolting up the sump you may have to wait nearly an hour - depending on temperature. I have used it on gearboxes/Transfer Boxes and it works well but expect quite a lot to squeeze out of the joint. **Q: Has it got a good UV protection? Will be applying in a uv hotspot** A: Not sure sorry - It was used to seal around a water pump - worked fine **Q: how long does this take to go off if using on thermostat housing so you can add coolant** A: I would say that providing the face to the housing and its seating face are properly clean before coating evenly and also using a thin correct gasket it should be ready to use within a few minutes. **Q: Can I use this on my oil sump, where there is no gasket just metal to metal?** A: The surfaces would have to be spotlessly clean and dry with no residue of previous gasket material and the silicone applied very evenly.
